The space
As soon as Guests step inside they are instantly met with a stylish entrance cloakroom and breathtaking views of Loch Snizort and The Ascrib Islands.
Beams can comfortably welcome four Guests, two in the Main Bedroom (king size bed with large fitted wardrobes) and two on the upstairs open mezzanine (two single beds). Soft 400 thread count Egyptian sateen cotton bedding, heavy duvets and quality mattresses have been used to give Visitors that extra slice of comfort. All pillows and duvets are Non-Allergenic.
The Main Bedroom boasts a large en-suite. A second fully equipped bathroom can be found on the ground floor. Shampoo, Conditioner and Body Wash from ethical toiletries brand Faith In Nature are provided for Guest convenience. Large bath sheets, hand towels and facecloths are also available.
The open plan living area is the perfect space for Guests to plan days or just simply to unwind whilst taking in the wild surroundings. The Wood Burning Stove comes with all the necessary tools and fuel. A full basket of logs is provided. Local Skye guides, OS Maps and books can be used and a selection of board games in the chest for those blustery Scottish evenings. Fast 4G wireless internet is available (signal occasionally drops out for short spells, quite common for Skye) as well as a Smart TV with all the main streaming platforms.
The new kitchen/dining area is the ideal open space for communal dinners and get-togethers. A well-equipped kitchen gives Guests that homely feeling. The kitchen comes complete with a full-size fridge/freezer, electric hob/oven, microwave, dishwasher and panini grill. A large rustic wooden dining table to enjoy each other's company as well as a more casual breakfast bar.
The utility room comes ready with a large washing machine and separate tumble dryer as well as ample hanging space to hang damp waterproofs after the days' adventures. Ecover laundry detergent and softener are also provided.
We are pleased to announce we have recently installed a new smart fast charging point (7kW) to provide much-needed convenience and service to our guests. Our charging points are powered by VoltShare. The new charging points are compatible with all-electric cars.
Outdoor chairs and a picnic table can be used for alfresco dining.
Guest access
Guests are free to access all parts of the Property including the Gardens. Please take care if going up behind the house as the wooden steps can be slippery. There is also a small pond behind the house so please be mindful. The terrain is also uneven.

Stephanie & Jordan are always on call to take any questions whether it is a query regarding the house or just Skye's recommendations. Fiona & Richard (co-hosts) are also reachable in any case.
The neighborhood
Geary, Waternish
Geary can be found approximately 20 minutes past the famous Fairy Bridge in Waternish on North West Skye. Geary boasts views across the Loch and over to Uig, Harris and Lewis on the clearest days.
Waternish is home to two fabulous restaurants the Michelin Star rated Loch Bay and The Stein Inn, the oldest pub on Skye, they serve quality home-cooked food, local ales and fine Scottish Whisky.
Be sure to allocate some time to visit Skyeskyns tannery and their Pop-up Yurt Specialty Tea & Artisan Coffee (open March-September). Takeaway coffee are still offert during fall-winter inside the showroom.
Boat trips to St Kilda also leave from the jetty at Waternish.
Another absolute must when you visit Geary is the short walk to Donnie’s Tablet Shed, the wee purple shed sells Homemade Scottish Tablet as well as other local sweet treats.

-Portree, the largest town on Skye (Coop Grocery, Petrol Station, Harbour, Post Office, multiple restaurants & shops)
-Uig (General store for your small grocery needs, petrol station, cafes, restaurants and a couple of bars). You can also find the Isle of Skye Brewing Company.
-Struan (Bog Myrtle Skye, for nice coffee, Brunch/Lunch)
-Carbost (Talisker Distillery, Caora Cafe, Cafe Cuíl, Old Inn)
-Sligachan (Sligachan Old Bridge, Waterfalls, Sligachan hotel, Suma's Bar, Cuillin Brewery)
-Glenbrittle (Fairy Pools, Glenbrittle Beach)

Getting around
Visitors are reminded to take care of the narrow single-lane roads on Skye, especially during the busier months (April-October).
Guests are invited to browse online through Isle of Skye website for some driving tips.
Other things to note
Our house sleeps 4 adults comfortably. We can also accommodate a young child (usually up to around 4 years old) in a travel cot. While Airbnb defines ‘infants’ as under 2, we’re happy to welcome slightly older little ones who are still fine sleeping in a travel cot. Please message us before booking if you’re unsure—we’re flexible!

Although not in your typical Beach House location, the style of Beams definitely gives its guests instant comfort and relaxation with stunning pebble beaches a just a short distance away.

Free cancellation up to 90 day(s) before arrival, then 30% cancellation fee up to 14 day(s) before arrival, then 100% cancellation fee.
Dear Guest, our cancellation policy:
Free cancellation until 14 days prior to check-in. If booked less than 14 days before check-in, free cancellation up to 48 hours after booking. Beyond this period the amounts are non refundable.
If you wish to cancel the whole or any part of your booking and you notify us in writing (see our contact details below) 14 days in advance of your date of arrival, no cancellation fee will be charged, please note deposits are non refundable (unless stated differently at the time of booking). If cancelled within 14 days of your arrival date, or in the case of a no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. No refunds will be made for non-arrivals.
In the unlikely event we have to cancel or make a change to your accommodation we will use all reasonable efforts to contact you as soon as possible to explain what has happened and inform you of the cancellation or change. If possible, we will offer alternatives, but should these alternatives be unacceptable to you the booking will be treated as cancelled and we will refund any money you have paid to us within 14 days of any cancellation.
We shall not be liable for changes, cancellations or any other effect on your booking due to events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure), including (by way of example only and without limiting the generality of the foregoing) terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural or manmade disasters, fire, and adverse weather conditions.
