There are so many reasons to choose a stay at Tides. We love the location in Uig. We have stayed here before and the views are outstanding. Sitting in the living space you would think you are the only house on the bay but in fact the house is nestled safely among some others and walkable to a handful of great places to eat and drink. The Ferry Inn being our favourite on this visit. A member of our party has mobility issues and the spacious living spaces and double showers made this house an easy choice to make the holiday a comfortable one for this person. The house is newly built and designed to perfection. All the rooms have an en-suite shower or bathroom and the living space looking out onto the bay with the log burner in the corner will make you think twice about leaving the house to explore Skye. We chose to eat in two evenings out of three to enjoy it! The decor of the house is fun, stylish and extremely comfortable and will leave you with a wish list as long as your arm when you leave. The communication with Skye Serviced Accommodation was easy and friendly. They went out of their way to welcome us with a bottle of wine, a welcome video at check-in and an email throughout our stay to check if we needed anything. We will 100% return to Tides and recommend the accommodation to anyone travelling to Skye.

Great Property, Wonderful Location and excellent services
Unequivocally a wonderful adventure for our family on Skye and more than pleased to have been able to live it while staying on such ideal property. The spaces, amenities and support received is definitely top of the class. With pandemic in mind the self check in - check out process was smooth and without any incidents, and when support was required we got fast and on time communications and the help we needed to make of our stay even better. Thanks again and looking to a future opportunity to definitely come back.

Tides is remarkable. Every detail was covered. Our family enjoyed 4 nights at Tides. The location in Uig placed us in proximity to hiking and conveniences. The home is an ideal vacation spot. Design and layout is simple and luxurious. We cooked, build a fire, and slept soundly each night. Our hosts were responsive and helpful. We hope to return one day. Stay here if you’re visiting Skye!

The house was absolutely stunning and has views to die for with all rooms having views that you could sit and watch for hours. The woodburner was great as it was very stormy the night we arrived but was very cosy.

It is located in a great location close to Quirang, Fairy Glen, and not too far from Old Man of Storr and the Dino footprints at An Corran. The view is amazing! This is a wonderful property, with amazing views of Uig from the lounge. It is extremely well equipped with everything you could need for a great stay away from home. There’s a lovely fire should you need it when the weather changes, be aware that you will experience all seasons not in one day but within 10 minutes! It is an amazing place to just chill out and relax, watching the water and the wildlife just outside the window. A fabulous find, we can’t wait to return.

This fantastic house is perched on the edge of the sea with huge picture windows. Well designed for families/groups. Bedrooms are large with En suites for the doubles. Very clean. Warm house despite the cooler weather. We loved the log fire and the sunsets over the deck. Only salt pepper and oil supplied for cooking. Surprise wine was a nice touch! A welcome pack would have the only thing we’d add. Ben was super responsive. Bring binoculars for bird and seal watching from the lounge.

The picturesque and ever-changing views over Uig bay fill the living area through the huge windows. The bedrooms all have en-suite facilities, comfy beds and plenty of storage. A SMART TV with all the usual apps and a bluetooth speaker are excellent touches, but it really is all about the house and the view. Can't recommend highly enough.

The place is as beautiful as in the pictures. Everything is top notch, brand new and functions well. We did have a little difficulty with controlling the heat but that’s it. One thing to know is that Uig is a good 30 minutes drive to Portree and has limited dining options so it’s probably best for groups that enjoy cooking in the house. We did this most evenings which means we got to truly enjoy this superb house.

This property is so far the best place I have stayed in. The pictures posted on the website doesn't do it justice. Amazing scenery and location, albeit a little remote an excellent area to be situated to explore Isle of Skye- Portree, Man of Storr, Fairy Pools and many more. Only advice would be to be a little careful with the items in the property as they are fairly expensive. We had a hiccup towards the end of our stay where we were asked to pay for damages to the dinner table which we had to prove was there before we arrived. We managed to resolve this in the end and the managing company apologised. All in all an excellent place to stay.

Fantastic, modern, rustic house! Relaxing and very comfortable with quality design, furniture and amenities. The house is bright and airy and clean. There was not a dirty or old spot in the whole entire house. Everything worked as it should or as described. The view from every room was fantastic. It felt like sitting outside when sitting in the chairs by the window.

We were here in November and lots of things were closed for the season, but there were still a few restaurants within a few minutes, along with a small grocery store and gas station. The location is beautiful! There are neighbors, but it still feels very private and quiet. Loved our stay!

The house was actually better than it looked in the pictures. My 3 kids loved the views as much as we did and fought over the 2 window chairs. We would definitely rent Tides again. The cafe at the ferry terminal next to petrol station looks nothing from outside but food was absolutely delicious,as was nearby Uig Hotel.

It’s a great property! Breathtaking views, uig pottery and the Isle of Skye brewery are absolutely next door. There is also a gas station within 100 meters with a convenience store. Extremely clean, and the host is very helpful, friendly and responds immediately. Great stay with friends or family!

Gorgeous place with a wonderful view. Family of 4 used this place as a base to explore Skye. It was close drive to all major attractions. It was great to spend the evenings admiring the view after a full day of exploring the island. The place was clean, spacious, quiet and well equipped with utensils, dishes, bathing supplies, washer and dryer, and a modern kitchen. The living room is decorated well. We had a fantastic 4 night stay, highly recommend.

Tides was such a wonderful place for 4 of us to spend 4 nights on the Isle of Skye! The amenities were very modern, we appreciated every bedroom had an attached bathroom, and the location right on the water was hard to beat. When we arrived, there was olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper, and a little ice. We left behind some spices and coffee for others to enjoy, as well as laundry detergent.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Tides. Skye is an amazing place and exploring the island knowing that we were heading back to Tides at the end of the day was fantastic. The quality of the accommodation was absolutely superb. We were a group of 3 couples and the bedrooms each with ensuite and the most delightful views were very welcome. The facilities for cooking made this an enjoyable way to spend several evenings. If you like hiking, Skye is absolutely amazing for the scenery and Uig well placed for the Trotternish Peninsular. We also enjoyed some good restaurant stops and a wildlife boat trip seeing Eagles, Seal and fishing for mackerel. Just a brilliant place to visit.

Wonderful location, and stunning house for a party. We celebrated my wife's 60th birthday at 'The Tides' and all the party thoroughly enjoyed the stay. It is expensive, but we think it's worth it for the stunning view across the inlet. We spotted some seals on our first night, which was a bonus - the night sky on clear nights was amazing! The quality of the fixtures and fittings was excellent. We were particularly impressed with the showers in the three bathrooms - all very luxurious. Would love to stay again, but in reality probably out of our usual price range.

Everything about this property was stunning! The kitchen to the bathrooms were all beautifully done. We had a problem with the under floor heating which we contacted the management for the property. They were fast to come out and try and fix the problem which unfortunately wasn’t able to. They provided ample heater and wood for the fire! Would definitely love to stay again and recommend to anyone!

It was our first time in Scotland and we couldn’t have made a better choice by staying in the Tides. Everything was fantastic, from the house itself to the views and neighbourhood. We spent the whole week for Christams and New Year peacefully! We had everything we needed, very well organized and Ben was very responsive when we needed to ask questions. We definitely recommend this place, wonderful!

Tides is a lovely place, but there are lots of patches of work that need to be done on the property, and it's definitely not in the nicest location... yes the view is great in the angle from the photos, but look to the left or right and you've houses either side and no privacy. Also, although Skye Serviced were able to move us a different location due to an error in one of their other listings, it really has reaffirmed my hesitancy with using a middle-man when renting through AirBnb.

The house is spectacular: it is new and modern, very comfortable and with amazing views. Ben and his team were very helpful, friendly and responsive. The location is convenient for exploring the island. While there are houses on both sides of the house, we did not see anyone and did not hear any noise from the neighbors and felt very private and quiet. My family and I loved our stay at this house. We strongly recommend this house and we hope to be back in the future!

Had a wonderful stay at Tides! The house is beautiful and the photos/listing are accurate. It was very private and I loved just being able to enjoy the views and unwind. The host was very responsive even late at night when we had trouble finding the house, which we really appreciated. The video instructions were also a nice touch. The kitchen wasn’t as well equipped as other airbnbs I’ve stayed at, but we made it work for a few nights. Although we loved our stay, I’m not sure if it was worth the price in the end compared to other airbnbs with similar accommodations. Definitely beautiful though!

Positive: Excellent location with a beautiful view, wonderful facilities which are well maintained and nicely cleaned. This was one of few properties that I have encountered so far were the reality is even better than the photos. 10/10 recommendation - do not hesitate to book if available. Negative: The floor heating was disconnected (the controls showed a crossed out wifi symbol) and despite contacting the host team, no fix could be made. However the host Ben recommended to just use the wood stove so we did fire that up twice a day and the warmth of it was sufficient for the living room. He also told us to use the electric heaters which also worked. So nobody was cold at all and we loved the fire stove. We imagined the house to be a bit more secluded as the neighbors are a bit close and a camp site is right there. Check on Google maps in case you are searching for solitude whether this is good. We were not bothered as the sound isolation of the house is top notch.

Great days in Uig
We had a great time at this beautiful location. The house is amazing; perfectly located to many fantastic sights of the isle of Skye and equipped with everything you need to enjoy your time in the house. We really felt at home right from the beginning. Also the check-in procedure was great, flexible and easy. We can only recommend this place. It’s not cheap, but worth the money.

Nice getaway!
Very nice views, house was clean and comfortable. The location was excellent for The Quiraing, Fairy Glen & Castle Ewen ruin and much more. It's about a 40-min drive from Portree. The ferry terminal is very close by as well.

A fantastic experience in Skye
Positive: Stunning view, fit & finish of the place was exceptional, the fireplace was an accessory I didn't know I needed in my life. A masterpiece of contemporary design that acknowledges its beautiful locale.Possibly the best Airbnb I stayed in. Staff was very friendly and responsive. The attention to detail is particularly noteworthy. Loved it. Would recommend 10/10 and made Isle of Skye a highlight in our Scotland roadtrip. I go as far as to say this remarkable property itself is worth a trip. Negative: I cannot think of anything. My wife is American and noted a lack of washcloths. It may be helpful to add instructions about the fireplace itself or if firewood is included (which it appears to be), but it is fairly self explanatory. Note that appliances are expected to be in cleaned condition on checkout, i may have misread the FAQ and emails but the amount of the cleaning fee in case of this not being met was unclear to me. However the place is easy to keep clean with detergent etc provided.

UNDERFLOOR CENTRAL HEATING DIDN'T WORK...IT WAS 13.2 DEGREES!! AVOID, OWNERS DON'T CARE
Positive: The location was good, however the windows hadn't been cleaned so it didn't help with the views. Negative: The property had no heating for the whole 3 night trip. Nobody answered our calls all day on the Sunday and then when she came out on the Monday she couldn't fix it and neither could an electrician or Plummer....it was freezing, the underfloor heating was controlled by Samsung in Glasgow apparently and couldn't be switched back on? So it was 13.2 degrees....luckily there was a woodburner in the lounge which we huddled around, but a special 3 night stay with friends caused upset and the owners haven't replied to Booking.com and now Booking.com seem to be ignoring my e-mails as well....It was very expensive and I am so upset that these owners obviously have absolutely no interest in their guests....it shouldn't be let out in the state it's in. Also there was no non slip in the showers...it was like an ice rink. No property should be controlled by a computer without someone understanding how it works and being able to fix it....really shocking management.

Very nice, very modern accommodations. Huge kitchen, just be careful the smoke detector is right above the stove top, so use the fans! Big bathtub under a huge window overlooking the inlet. Very modern and nice showers. Laundry was nice too after a week traveling through Scotland. Beds were large and comfortable. Fireplace worked great md was very very efficient, using a small number of tiny logs but added wonderful ambiance to the room. Lots of windows which can be nice if it rains or the sun comes out.

The highlight of our Scotland accommodation. Sitting directly on the water in the bay, slightly down from the pier, a stunning Uig location. The property inside was brand new. Very modern and tastefully decorated. Three bedrooms (4 beds) with three bathrooms, our family of four had plenty of room. We made cooked breakfast daily and had more equipment than we needed. The washer and dryer were well used. We were visited daily by sheep in the garden. We spent most of our time at the house looking out the windows at the glorious bay view.

Beautiful home, beautiful view. Uig is way up on Isle of Skye, but nicely located for visits to gorgeous Quiraing (our favorite site on Skye) and a hike up Old Man of Storr (go early or late as it gets crowded). Best dinner of our trip was at Uig Hotel, a quick drive away. Small grocery nearby has adequate supplies. Great to be able to do laundry, and loved not having to share bathrooms--nice showers! I-pad instructions were helpful on operating appliances. Hope rest of neighborhood will upgrade like Tides..but definitely felt safe.

The house and its views of the bay are beautiful! Surprisingly large bedrooms by European standards with bathrooms for each bedroom. Modern and warm. Kitchen has everything you'd need and more if you are making meals (which you may be because finding dinner reservations during our trip was impossible).

We had a lovely stay at The Tides in Skye over the last week. We arrived in the dark a bit later than we had expected and we really could not see much about the location of the property. The spacious and well appointed bedrooms were a welcome place to rest for the night. When we awoke the first morning to see a large ferry gliding silently by in the bay, the beauty of the place took our breath away. Unfortunately, a heavy storm prevented us from exploring many of the Skye’s treasures, but we had a lovely place to watch the storm pass with a fire in the fireplace. We look forward to returning.

Our stay at Tides was very relaxing. Uig is not far from other towns but felt like we were secluded enough from the busier locations. We loved it! My niece and I loved sitting by the big windows, looking for Seals. Being that it was October, we didn’t spot many from the living room but we saw one. One evening we walked to a cute nearby hotel and had a few apéritifs. We would definitely go back if we were ever in Isle of Sky again!

We had a wonderful time at the house. The view of the bay is stunning, especially watching the ferry. The house served as an excellent base for exploring Skye and also provided a comfortable and cozy retreat in the evenings. Having an individual bathroom for each bedroom made accommodating 6 adults easy. The kitchen is well-equipped and allows for enjoyable cooking sessions together. The sunlight can be intense, and without any external shading, the interior can get quite hot. Additionally, the some of the rooms can be very bright, especially in the mornings. Overall, it's a fantastic house. Would definitely come again.

On arrival the house was WOW, lived up to the photographs. Beautiful setting makes the most of the view. Only marked down because the bedding could be better quality. There was no egg cups or serving bowls, and could do with more cutlery only 6 of each item. This sounds picky but it has been fitted out to a high standard and these little things above are easily fixed.

Luxury waterfront home on Isle of Skye
Tides at Uig is luxurious and comfortable with a stunning view. I spent 3 days there with my extended family, eating, drinking, laughing and enjoying the absolute peace and quiet. The living, dining and kitchen area has everything you could need, and each bedroom is outstanding with its own high end bathroom. I would highly recommend
